COLUMBUS, Ohio - - The UT Arlington men's golf team shot a 24-over-par 308 and stands in 23rd place after the first day of the NCAA Central Regional Tournament at The Ohio State University Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.

Teams resume play Friday for the second of three rounds.

Wake Forest leads after Day 1 with a 6-over-par 290.

For UTA, Kevin Carrigan and Michael van de Venter each shot 4-over-par 75 on the Par 71 course. Zack Reeve wasn't far behind with a 5-over-par 76. Bobby Massas shot an 82 and Bryce Easton shot an 83.
